A driver hit a parked car, a fire hydrant, a utility pole, the Intergas sign and a brick landscape planter at Hubbard Paint and Wallpaper on Main Street in Falmouth early Monday morning, February 20.
The 33-year-old driver was transported, first to Falmouth Hospital and then by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Officials said his condition was unknown.
The Falmouth Police Department responded to 614 Main Street at 12:47 AM on Monday. The car reportedly struck the parked car on Main Street before speeding away down the road. It then hit the hydrant, the pole and the sign and was stopped by the brick planter.
The driver is being charged with his third offense of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and speeding.
