An ongoing investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency’s task force led to the arrest of a 32-year old Falmouth man yesterday for trafficking and possession of methamphetamine.
Jonathan P. Price of 35 Greengate Road was arrested on March 4 at his home by state police and held on $35,000 bail. His girlfriend, Makayla Boyle, was also arrested at the same time and charged with conspiracy to violate controlled substance law.
State police and the DEA Task Force assigned to New Bedford started an investigation into Mr. Price in the summer of 2020, according to the police report. Investigators used a confidential informant to make several controlled purchases of suspected methamphetamine over the course of several months including a purchase last week. On several occasions, Mr. Price met the informant with is girlfriend, Makayla Boyle. She is also the registered owner of the vehicle he used to deliver the narcotics.
State police requested a search warrant out of New Bedford court and at 6 AM Thursday arrested the suspects. The reports says a large amount of methamphetamine was located in an open safe in the home.
They were arrested and brought to the state police barracks in Bourne for booking.
Mr. Price is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, conspiracy to violate controlled drug law and possession to distribute methamphetamine.
A DEA spokesperson out of Boston said he could not comment further as it is an ongoing investigation.
