Falmouth businessman Daren J. McDonald was found dead at his home on Old Campus Drive Thursday morning, June 10 Falmouth Police Chief Edward A. Dunne said.

Officers arrived on scene at 7:10 AM after receiving a call from the Falmouth Fire and Rescue Department, whose medics were already at the home. Mr. McDonald was found dead by his family, Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas DeCosta said in an email.

The death is under investigation by Falmouth police, state police and the medical examiner’s office, the lieutenant said, and does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

Spokesperson for the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office Tara L. Miltimore said they are awaiting the autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Mr. McDonald, 52, owned Clover Paving Company, and leaves behind a wife and children.

Today's first article 06/11/21 "Falmouth Man Found Dead" - I'm horrified to read this title and first paragraph, this was a beloved FHS classmate, friend and mentor to many, let alone family man and great contributor to the community in Falmouth. Disgraceful how insensitive and the lack of couth this article was written - shame on you, Falmouth Enterprise. Disappointing and classless!
