A Falmouth man accused of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon was indicted by a grand jury at Barnstable Superior Court on November 1.

Christian T. Rubbicco, 25, of Pacheco Path, East Falmouth, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery on a family or household member and strangulation or suffocation.

Mr. Rubbicco was arrested by Falmouth Police on April 15, following an alleged domestic assault. Detective Andrew T. Loewen interviewed and observed the victim, who was then transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Police reports list these injuries as two black eyes, cuts, a nasal fracture and orbital fracture.

In his report, Det. Loewen wrote the victim provided several photographs and video of the incident, which police took into evidence.

Responding patrolman John Castleberry, who arrested Mr. Rubbicco at 2:34 AM on April 15, wrote that he observed a large blood stain on the carpet, which corroborated the victim's story.
