A Falmouth man was airlifted to an area trauma center early Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 25, after his vehicle struck a tree on East Falmouth Highway.

The Falmouth Fire Rescue Department responded to a vehicle fire at 3:22 AM at 143 East Falmouth Highway at the intersection with Old Barnstable Road, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Thrasher said.

The victim had multiple traumatic injuries and was taken to Falmouth Hospital before being taken by helicopter to a trauma center.

The deputy chief said personnel extinguished the fire by 3:27 AM.
