Marinas.com has named the Falmouth Town Marina a 2019 Boater’s Choice Award recipient.

“This is actually the second year we’ve gotten the award,” Harbormaster Gregg Fraser said. “Any boater who comes into the Falmouth Marina, or any other marina, can go onto Marinas.com and review their stay.”

Marinas.com has profiles and reviews of more than 8,500 marinas. The top 3 percent of the highest-rated marinas are eligible for a Boater’s Choice Award. In order to receive the award, marinas must also have at least five reviews posted this year and a minimum average review score of four stars out of five.

“I think we had about 28 of them, and 25 of those were five stars,” Mr. Fraser said.

He acknowledged there is room for improvement.

“Some of the reviews mentioned WiFi, and we’re trying to get that to the marina,” he said. “We are working on that with the IT department.”

He said the award would not have been possible without the marina’s staff.

“We have a longtime dockmaster, Bob Griffin, who oversees a wonderful staff of seasonal employees, young men and women, who are in high school and college, who do the waterways assistant position,” Mr. Fraser said. “We had an exceptional group of kids this year, and they got accolades on all of the reviews.”

The Falmouth Town Marina previously won a Marinas.com Boater’s Choice Award in 2018.
