Following a complaint made against him, Falmouth Police officer Clifford T. Harris was placed on paid administrative leave by Police Chief Edward A. Dunne.

“A complaint was received by the police department, and per standard procedure, it triggers an internal police investigation, which is underway,” Town Manager Julian M. Suso said.

Mr. Suso would not reveal the nature of the complaint, only confirming that Officer Harris is on administrative leave.

“We’re supportive of Chief Dunne having an internal investigation conducted,” he said. “It will run its course, and we will reserve further judgment until its concluded.”

Officer Harris joined the Falmouth Police Department in 1999, previously serving at the North Adams Police Department. He is the president of the Falmouth Police Patrolmen Federation, the local police union.
