Falmouth selectmen are seeking written questions prior to a community forum on sober homes next Tuesday, June 11.

The selectmen are hosting the forum at 6 PM at Falmouth High School.

In addition to the board of selectmen, the forum will feature state representatives David T. Vieira (R-Falmouth) and Dylan A. Fernandes (D-Falmouth), state Senator Viriato M. (Vinny) deMacedo (R-Plymouth), Larissa Matzek and Bill Berneburg of the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, and Kevin Cranston, assistant commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

The event will also feature Falmouth Police Chief Edward A. Dunne and Fire Chief Michael F. Small.

Residents with questions regarding the role and impact of treatment facilities and sober houses are asked to send questions to selectmen@falmouthma.gov with the subject line “June 11 Forum.” Written questions can also be delivered to the town clerk’s office at town hall but they must arrive by today at noon.

“The idea is to try to get some substantive answers out there,” selectmen chairwoman Megan E. English Braga said.

The forum is scheduled to run from 6 to 8 PM. The first 30 minutes are allotted for presentations; the remaining time will be for answering audience questions, including the written questions. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
