Town Meeting members work through the warrant Monday evening inside the the Antonucci Field House at Falmouth House School.

Falmouth Special Town Meeting convened in person on Monday, June 28 with members spaced six feet apart across the Antonucci Field House at Falmouth House School. Twenty of twenty-four articles held over from the April Town Meeting were deliberated.

Article 6 and 7 pertaining to the large-scale solar farm planned for the Cape Cod Country Club property elicited debate among Town Meeting members and public commenters.

Article 6 passed by a vote of 146-46, revising the existing large-scale ground mounted solar bylaw. Town Meeting members passed Article 7 by a vote of 146-39, placing the golf course in the Falmouth solar district, allowing for a solar project to be considered.

Town Meeting members authorized Sandra Faiman-Silva's petition Article 15, replacing Christopher Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day. While Article 17 pertaining to the towns acknowledgment of Falmouth as the ancestral homeland of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, also put forward by Ms. Faiman-Silva was not supported by Town Meeting members after much discussion.
