Falmouth police responded to a car-versus-bicycle crash in front of the Great Bay Motel on Teaticket Highway on Monday, August 5, at 7:52 PM.
“Further callers reported that a fight had erupted among the people on scene. Responding officers found several disorderly individuals screaming at one another. After peace was restored, officers tended to the male cyclist who had sustained injuries to his head, arm and leg,” Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas M. DeCosta said.
Falmouth Fire Rescue Department personnel arrived and treated the cyclist, but he refused transport to the hospital, police said.
The bike had the right-of-way, and the vehicle operator was issued a civil citation, police said.
