Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson ate at the Chapoquoit Grill on West Falmouth Highway on Saturday, August 13. Justice Jackson became the first Black woman to serve as a Supreme Court Justice when she was sworn in on June 30.

Nicole Jacoby, the general manager of the Chapoquoit Grill, said that in addition to the other members of her party, Justice Jackson was accompanied by US Marshals Service agents. Ms. Jacoby said after receiving a call to put Justice Jackson’s party on the waitlist, a federal marshal came in to inform her of what was going on and to learn about the restaurant’s entrances and exits.
