Light Out

The traffic light at the corner of Quissett Harbor and Woods Hole Road hands from its pole after being hit by a passing truck. 

A truck clipped a traffic light at the corner of Quissett Harbor and Woods Hole Road, knocking it off its pole. Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas M. DeCosta said dispatch received a call about the light at 9:12 AM.

There are four traffic lights at the intersection. Three were unharmed but none were functioning.

Lieutenant DeCosta said Massachusetts Departments of Public Works and Falmouth Department of Public Works were notified.

Woods Hole Road is a state road. MassDPW workers were en route to fix the light, Lieutenant DeCosta said.
