A Falmouth man was arrested Wednesday, June 2, on drug possession charges after being pulled over by police for driving on a suspended license. It is his second arrest in three months.

Brian Ferreira, 53, with a current address of Sea Street, Hyannis, was arrested after it was reported he was stopped in his minivan on Main Street for an extended period of time. Police found he was driving on a suspended license and found an open container of alcohol, Suboxone, and heroin/fentanyl in the van. He was charged with possession of Class A and B drugs, an open container and operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for OUI.

On March 5, he was arrested after he allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle and was found to be drunk and under the influence of narcotics. He was transported to the Falmouth Hospital emergency room under protective custody for drugs. Mr. Ferreira was charged with for OUI-liquor (fourth offense), OUI-drugs and negligent operation. An immediate threat was also requested via the RMV to suspend his license.
