Falmouth police arrested a man for breaking and entering and vandalism after he was found breaking into a home on Irene Avenue on May 28.

Officers were dispatched to the home around 9:30 PM. The suspect, Peter S. Gross, 29, of East Falmouth, had fled the scene before police arrived but a police canine found him nearby. There was evidence Mr. Gross sustained serious cuts when he broke a window and entered the home.

According to a police report, Mr. Gross was volatile and belligerent. During transport to the police department, Mr. Gross slipped the handcuffs and smashed the plexiglass in the patrol car. He was charged with breaking and entering at nighttime for a felony and two counts of destruction of property.
