Police arrested a Boston man for allegedly stealing a Falmouth woman’s car from her home on Palmer Avenue in the early morning hours on Saturday, March 27.
The suspect, Everett A. Fraser Jr., 49, of East Boston, was a patient at Gosnold Treatment Center on Ter Heune Drive.
According to the Falmouth police, a preliminary investigation revealed the suspect entered the woman’s building sometime overnight and stole her car keys and vehicle. Officers made a connection with the car and two incidents that were reported on the previous shift, when Mr. Fraser overdosed at the treatment center. He was taken to the Falmouth Hospital emergency room and discharged a few hours later. Police said he then returned to Gosnold, only this time with a vehicle that matched the description of the stolen vehicle from Palmer Avenue.
Mr. Fraser fled before police arrived, and a bulletin was issued to other law enforcement agencies. Falmouth police learned he was on federal probation.
State police located Mr. Fraser in Danvers, but he fled in the stolen car. The police chased and called in air wing assistance before they eventually caught and arrested him.
Falmouth police are charging Mr. Fraser with unarmed burglary, breaking and entering nighttime for a felony, and larceny of a motor vehicle.
