A 14-year Falmouth teen was injured Monday afternoon, December 9, when she was struck by a car while crossing the street near the intersection of Main and Shore streets. Police and fire personnel responded to a report of the accident at 4:42 PM.

The teen suffered from a possible fractured pelvis and was treated by Falmouth Fire and Rescue medics. She was then taken by ambulance to Falmouth Hospital and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Boston.

The driver of the car, a 67-year-old East Falmouth woman, remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.

An investigation revealed that the teen was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash. A citation was issued to the driver for a crosswalk violation.
