Martha's Vineyard Bank Robbery, November 16, 2020

Falmouth Police and the Barnstable County Sherriff's Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation work the scene at Martha's Vineyard Bank at 397 Palmer Avenue after a robbery.

Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed Martha’s Vineyard Bank on the corner of Palmer Avenue and Jones Road at around 3 PM on Monday, November 16.

Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne said the man was unarmed and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers with K9 tracking dogs are searching the area and are asking surrounding businesses if they saw the man or have surveillance video that can help in the search.

Chief Dunne said he may release to the public a description of the man if he is not found soon.

The Falmouth Police Department is actively investigating the incident with the assistance of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, Massachusetts State Police and the FBI.

More information will be provided as the investigation continues.
