Contractor Lawrence-Lynch Corp. continues to repave Route 28 as part of the that street’s water main replacement project.

The contractor on June 25 completed permanent trench paving on Teaticket Highway between Cumberland Farms and the Maravista Avenue lights. Trench paving will continue on Teaticket Highway between the Maravista Avenue lights and the Admiralty Inn and Stop & Shop Friday, June 26. One lane of traffic will be detoured through Worcester Court, Spring Bars Road, Randolph Road and Maravista Avenue during the repaving work.

Roadwork will not end with the completion of the Route 28 water main replacement project. Director of Public Works Peter M. McConarty confirmed that Ashumet Road to Hooppole Road is scheduled for drainage improvements and an asphalt overlay, while Garnet Road in North Falmouth will get an asphalt overlay to the Bourne town line.

Additional work is possible along Sandwich Road.

“We are looking at performing maintenance patch work on Sandwich Road due to its failing condition,” Mr. McConarty said.
