A Forestdale woman was cited with texting while driving following a one-car crash early Friday morning.
At 1:11 AM on July 19, Falmouth Police responded to the Patriot Party Boat office building on Clinton Avenue, where a driver had crashed into the building, causing extensive damage.
“An investigation revealed that the operator, a 23-year-old female from Forestdale, was texting and failed to negotiate a corner at the end of Scranton Avenue,” Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas M. DeCosta said.
The driver refused medical treatment, though she showed no signs of serious injury.
She was issued a citation for texting while driving. Lt. DeCosta said additional charges are pending.
