Superintendent of Falmouth Public Schools Lori S. Duerr has announced the appointment of new principals for the Mullen-Hall and East Falmouth elementary schools.

Rose Moran, currently serving as Mullen-Hall’s assistant principal, has been chosen to assume the new position when Principal Nancy A. Ashworth retires this month. Paul Goodhind has been chosen as the new principal for East Falmouth Elementary School.

Ms. Moran joined the school system in 1980 after receiving a bachelor of science degree in special needs and an elementary education degree from Bridgewater State University. She later earned a master of science degree in early education from Wheelock College, and earned a certificate of advanced graduate study in educational leadership from Fitchburg College in 2006.

Mr. Goodhind is the principal of Mosier Elementary School in South Hadley and was interim principal at Michael E. Smith Middle School. He will take leadership of the East Falmouth school on Wednesday, July 1, following the departure of Justine M. Dale. He received a bachelor of science degree at Westfield State College and a master of science in educational leadership and supervision degree from North Carolina State University in 1994.
