Upper Cape Med Aesthetics has moved into a new office on Town Hall Square in Falmouth.

“It is a more private and larger office,” nurse practitioner Erin A. Edwards said. “I’ve been on Main Street for about two years, and I moved about three weeks ago.”

The new office opened on Saturday, October 5. It provides a variety of facial services, including Botox and Dysport wrinkle treatments.

“Dysport injections help to relax wrinkles,” Ms. Edwards said. “It stops the muscles from moving, which helps you feel relaxed and awake, which no one is in 2019.”

Upper Cape Med Aesthetics also offers facial fillers and collagen induction therapy. She described the service as facial aesthetics at a medical grade.

“I just want to try to help make people feel good about themselves,” Ms. Edwards said.

She has a medical background, having worked as a nurse practitioner since 2012 and nurse since 2007. She practices internal medicine in Falmouth and is affiliated with Cape Cod Healthcare. She opened Upper Cape Med Aesthetics on Main Street with Dr. Michael Barnett. It is just her in the new office.

“I had a business opportunity, and the physician I was partnered with and I decided to try something happy,” Ms. Edwards said, noting she can provide patients with more positive news at the med aesthetics office.

A typical appointment can last between 15 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment sought. Botox and Dysport can take 15 minutes from start to finish, while collagen injections can take an hour. Ms. Edwards said part of that appointment is figuring out what works best for the patient.

“My biggest job is enhancing what they already have,” she said.
