Barbara H. Flaherty, who leaves family in East Falmouth, died December 31 at the age of 92. She had been living with her daughter in Dennis for the past few years.

She was the wife of Thomas M. Flaherty. They had been married for 58 years at the time of his death.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Ruth (Fay) Dolan and Joseph Dolan.

Ms. Flaherty was a former longtime employee of Butler Automatic, Inc., while living in Canton. She more recently lived in Walpole and at Benchmark, a senior living community in Westwood.

She loved to sing and dance.

She leaves her children and their spouses, Thomas J. and Carmel Flaherty of Quincy, William M. Flaherty of East Falmouth, Robert P. and Sandra Flaherty of Bridgewater, and Barbara J. and Michael Scannell of Walpole and Dennis; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna M. Russell; and a sister, Betty R. Holiver.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, January 12, from 9 to 10:45 AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

Following visitation, a funeral Mass will be said at 11 AM St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth.

Burial will take place Thursday, January 13, at 10:15 AM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
