Bella Rabesa

Belmeida P. (Lema) Rabesa, 89, of Falmouth died April 8 at Falmouth Hospital.

She was the widow of Arthur Rabesa Sr., who died in 2004. She also was the former wife of John Souza; he died in 2011.

Ms. Rabesa, who was known as Bella, had worked as a seamstress for many years.

A lifelong Cape resident, she had also lived in Mashpee and Cotuit.

She leaves three children, John Souza Jr. of Waquoit, Carol J. Souza of Mashpee, and Brian (Stormy) Souza, also of Waquoit; three grandchildren, Shiloe Burzinski of Texas, Chelsea Watts of Sandwich, and Christopher Souza of Tigard, Oregon; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 14, from 2 to 5 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 15, at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway.

Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
