Curtis Anderson Whiting Jr., 71, died May 4 at his home in East Falmouth.

He was a graduate of Boston Latin School and earned his bachelor's degree at Northeastern University.

Mr. Whiting was the former owner of the Industrial Oil and Chemical Co. of Milford, a company founded by his parents.

He also worked as a truck driver for P.A. Landers of Chelsea.

He leaves his wife, Glenda Sharpe Whiting; three sisters, Darlene Sharpe Publicover, Valerie Morash-Sharpe, and Cecile Sharpe; and extended family.

He was predeceased by his father, Curtis A. Whiting, in 1964; and by his mother, Linnea V. (Anderson) Whiting, in 1978.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 18, from 2 to 5 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.
