Cynthia C. MacDonald, 62, of East Falmouth died February 5 at Boston Medical Center after a brief hospitalization.

She was the wife of Richard F. MacDonald Jr. for 20 years, until his death in August 2019.

Born in Dorchester, she grew up in Mansfield before moving to Cape Cod in 1980. She raised her two daughters as a single mother until she married in 1999.

Ms. MacDonald worked for 25 years at Marine Biological Laboratory.

She leaves her daughters, Tanya Huber and Kimberly Jordan and her husband, Mark Jordan; three grandchildren; three brothers, George Monaco, Greg Monaco and Richard Monaco; and other family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Doris Monaco; and her three sisters.

A funeral service will be Friday, February 19, at 11 AM at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

Private burial will be at a future date.
