Daniel James Regan, 87, of West Falmouth died at home October 29.
Mr. Regan spent his career in the early computing industry.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Ellen and Edward Regan. After his school studies he served three years in the United States Marine Corps and, at 19, became the youngest staff sergeant in the corps. He then continued his education at University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
During college he met the woman who would become his wife and the couple raised four children. He and Rosemary R. Regan had been married for 63 years at the time of his death.
As a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church, Mr. Regan was recognized for his service with a Marian Medal and a St. Vincent de Paul Top Hat Award. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth, currently serving as a Eucharistic minister and a daily Mass server.
In addition to his wife, he leaves their children, Kevin, Kerin, Tim and Matt Regan; as well as six grandchildren, seven siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 2, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth.
Burial was to be private.
