Diane Bonito, 46, of Greenwood, South Carolina, died unexpectedly on June 30. She was a former resident of Mashpee and Falmouth.

She was the daughter of Susan Bonito of Greenwood, South Carolina, and William Bonito of Falmouth.

Born in Falmouth, she attended Falmouth schools and spent the majority of her life on the Cape. After high school, she aspired to be a model.

Ms. Bonito loved to laugh and tell jokes; she was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She also enjoyed listening to rock and blues music and was especially fond of Luther Vandross, Keith Sweat and Jodeci.

She leaves two sons, Devin Andrade and Manuel Pina Lopes of Bridgewater; two sisters, Nanci Williams of Dayton, Maine, and Jennifer Bonito of Wareham; and other family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Jason Bonito.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 9, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 10, at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, followed by burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
