Dorothy Elizabeth Bourne, 92, of Falmouth died October 30.

She was born in Somerville, the daughter of Thomas J. Quinn and Ruth (Nye) Quinn. She grew up in Marion and graduated from Wareham High School in 1946.

After graduation, she went to work at the office of Dr. Raymond Baxter of Marion.

Her entertaining skills added to the successful transformation of the business from a local enterprise to an internationally known auction house. Her favorite events were the annual decoy auctions held every July, where collectors from across the country would attend.

Ms. Bourne was a past member of Hyannis Yacht Club and The Hyannisport Club. In recent years she had lived at Harborview Apartments in Falmouth.

She leaves two sons, Thomas C. Bourne and William E. Bourne; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her former husband.

Burial will be private.
