Douglas B. Berube, 77, of Falmouth, died December 13.

He was the husband of Karen (Thomas) Berube.

The son of Arthur and Vesta (Goodwin) Berube, he was born in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School. He would later earn a history degree from Bridgewater State College.

Mr. Berube had a career in carpentry and enjoyed woodworking.

He was a voracious reader and history buff who was fascinated by World War II.

In addition to his wife he leaves two children, Douglas T. Berube of Marstons Mills and his wife, Kathryn Berube, and Jonathan A. Berube of Mashpee; and his brother, Wayne A. Berube and his family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Rasmussen; and by his brother, Bryan Berube.

Funeral services are private.
