Edward A. Sands of East Falmouth died November 21 at Royal of Cotuit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mashpee. He was 95.

He was born in Boston, the son of Hugh Sands Sr. and Gean (Canning) Sands.

He was a graduate of Mission High School and Northeastern University.

Mr. Sands served with the US Army in World War II.

He was an avid boater and enjoyed golfing.

He leaves his nephew, David E. Sands of East Falmouth, as well as extended family.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Hugh Sands Jr. and James Sands; and by a sister, Mary S. Sands.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 5, at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway.

Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
