Edward B. Ginnetti, 71, of East Falmouth died at home on May 20.

He was born in Framingham, the son of Benjamin L. and Eunice M. (Gorman) Ginnetti.

He attended St. Michael’s School in Hudson and Assumption Preparatory School in Worcester prior to graduating from Hudson Catholic High School in 1965.

Mr. Ginnetti enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1967 and served in Vietnam.

Following his military service, he worked for the US Postal Service.

In January 1988, Mr. Ginnetti survived a car accident that left him dependent for care; his family had provided at-home care since that time.

Mr. Ginnetti had an affinity for music was an accomplished player of accordion, clarinet, harmonica, guitar and piano.

He leaves his brother, Paul J. Ginnetti of East Falmouth; his sister, JoAnne E. Wilson and her partner, Robert C. Dickey, and two nieces, Kerri E. Cardeiro and Rachel L. McCabe, all of East Falmouth; as well as his sister Gail M. Powers, nephews Timothy Dwyer and Johnathan Powers, and niece Julia Powers; and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A funeral Mass was said on Friday, May 24, at St. Patrick’s Church in Falmouth.

Burial was at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
