Eleanor M. Trask of Falmouth, who was 103, died September 1 at Care Dimensions in Lincoln. Ms. Trask died after a brief illness.
She was born in Peabody, the daughter of Catherine Matheson.
After high school she began working in medical offices, a career that would span four decades.
Ms. Trask and her family moved to Falmouth in 1954.
As a member of the Friendly Circle at the First Congregational Church of Falmouth, Ms. Trask and others in the group prepared all year long for the holiday craft fair held there each December.
She had also participated in the Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools program.
At the August 1, 2016, Falmouth Board of Selectmen meeting, the third item of business on the agenda that evening was a proclamation and certificate of recognition for the 100th birthday of Eleanor Trask, which she would be celebrating the following day.
She leaves her children and their spouses, Kristine Laquidara and Robert Laquidara of East Falmouth, Sylvia Trask and Scott Thompson of Clearlake, Washington, and David Trask and Carole Trask of Florida; her granddaughters, Alison Brown of Billerica and Sonja Trask of Framingham; and her great-grandchildren, Maya Braddix of Framingham and Parker and Abby Wright of Clearlake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allyn R. Trask, in 1963.
The graveside service at North Falmouth Congregational Cemetery was to be private.
