Elizabeth J. Kogut of North Falmouth died October 20 at McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich. She was 92.

She was born in in Ludlow, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Warren. After graduating from Ludlow High School, she went on to graduate from Bay Path Junior College.

Ms. Kogut moved to Falmouth from Ludlow in 1963.

She loved the beach and spent time there reading and watching sandpipers. She stayed abreast of current events and political news. She was known for her baking, especially her Christmas cookies that she would gift to her guests in a special tin.

With her longtime partner, Cape Cod native Everett Lee Welch, Ms. Kogut went on many road trips exploring the Cape and also Rangeley, Maine.

She leaves two children, Karen Flynn and Robert Kogut; 10 grandchildren, Jeff Kowalski, Liz Kowalski, Alison Flamini, Lauren Fox, Kristen de Urbizo, Amy Kogut, Matt Kogut, Landon Kogut, Carly Kogut and Anna Kogut; 11 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by Mr. Welch and also by her son James Kogut.

A memorial service is planned for what would have been her next birthday in July 2021.
