Estelle J. Ryan, 85, of Falmouth died Wednesday, July 24.

Estelle Jean DeRosier was born in Norwich, Connecticut, to Arthur H. DeRosier and Rose A. DeRosier.

She graduated from Norwich Free Academy, went on to earn a secretarial certificate and married Raymond J. Ryan Sr.

Ms. Ryan worked as an administrative assistant for Sears, Kenneth Crosby Company and TRW. While raising her two children in Framingham, she enjoyed water and snow skiing, camping, dancing and volunteering at church.

Her passion for the ocean, bird-watching and Cape Symphony Orchestra led her to Falmouth, where she spent her last years with her partner, Joseph Pietrowski, who died in 2015.

In addition to Mr. Pietrowski, she was predeceased by her parents, along with siblings Arthur DeRosiers, Rose Alfieri and Donald DeRosiers.

She leaves her daughter, Cynthia L. Luna and her husband, Cruz Luna, son Raymond J. Ryan Jr. and his wife, Kelisha Ryan; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and other family.

A memorial service in her honor will be said at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Falmouth at 10 AM, Monday, August 5, followed by a celebration of her life at Flying Bridge Restaurant on Falmouth Harbor.
