Frank Pagan Coy Jr. of East Falmouth died May 27 after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, and respiratory illnesses. He was 63 years old.

Originally from Connecticut, he was born in Manchester, the son of Carol Ann (Couffer) and Frank P. Coy Sr. He grew up in Westport and attended preparatory school at Millbrook Academy, where he played baseball and hockey.

He furthered his education at Central Connecticut State University, earning an associate’s degree in computer science.

Mr. Coy was an accomplished carpenter and furniture builder.

An avid fisherman in both salt and fresh water, he favored fly-fishing as well as all salt water activities. He also loved camping and gardening.

He leaves a brother, Christopher E. Coy of Chatham.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Garfield Coy and David Coy.

A private family service will be in Westerly, Rhode Island.
