Isaac Barrows

In Loving Memory: Isaac M. Barrows of Falmouth passed peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Isaac was born in West Falmouth on May 7, 1931, the son of Caesar and Amelia (Lestao) Barrows.

Isaac was a lifelong member of the Cape Cod Seventh Day Adventist Church, he served as a deacon and was instrumental in forming the Brazilian Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served his country faithfully and was very proud of his participation in the army’s operation whitecoat medical program. After discharge from the army, he worked for several Cape Cod construction companies as a heavy equipment operator. Isaac enjoyed flying his single engine airplane in his spare time.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria L. (Schuyler) Barrows. His children, Kristina (Kevin) Andrade, Michael (Nancy) Barrows, Darren Barrows. Grandchildren, Kristian (Stephanie) Andrade, Taylor, Michael Jr., and Olivia Barrows. Great grandchildren Halle, Caelyn, and Jillian. Many nieces and nephews.

Isaac was predeceased by his sister, Alice M. Graves, and brothers David M. and Manuel M. Barrows and grandson Jared M. Andrade.

Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Beacon Hospice, especially Gretchen Laiennaro.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 4 at Chapman Funerals and Cremations followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Falmouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Isaac’s name may be made to the Cape Cod Seventh Day Adventist Church, Osterville, MA.
