Nancy Vidal

In Loving Memory: Nancy C. (Pirie) Vidal, age 88, of Falmouth passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16, 202. Born in Perth, New Brunswick, Canada on November 19, 1932. She was the loving daughter of Harold J. and Gladys E. (Henniger) Pirie.

After graduating from nursing school in Moncton, N.B. Nancy made her way to Boston to begin her career as an R.N. at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. She wed her husband, Arthur P. Vidal, Jr. on September 7, 1957, who sadly passed in March 2021.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy A. Vidal (Falmouth); Peter W. Vidal (Falmouth) son-in-law, Steve E. Doudican (Falmouth) and her niece, Marsha Pirie Hayward (Hudson). Along with many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur P. Vidal Jr.; son Arthur P. “Joey” Vidal, III; daughter Beth A. (Vidal) Doudican; sisters Lois Hayward, Joan Nugent, and Jan Fortushniok.

Her hobbies included golf and bowling. She loved being on the ocean with her husband on their boat the Cross Rip. Traveling was a big part of her life to Europe, Alaska, and Hawaii. She found contentment and relaxation at her home enjoying her garden, her flowers and her many visits with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24 from 10:30-11:30AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main St., Falmouth A. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy., East Falmouth at 12 noon. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, East Falmouth.
