Josephine W. Nelson, 95, of Falmouth died May 18.

She was the widow of Carl M. Nelson, to whom she had been married for 53 years.

Ms. Nelson had worked as a bank teller at Plymouth Savings Bank in Mattapoisett.

An avid reader, she was especially fond of English mysteries. She also loved to cook.

She lived in Mattapoisett prior to her move to Falmouth.

She leaves her children, Erica Nelson and her husband, Robert Mondou, of East Falmouth, Peter Nelson and his wife, Kathleen Nelson, of Mattapoisett, and Andrea Ciampaglio and her husband, James Ciampaglio, of Flanders, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Rory Edwards of Falmouth, Justine Racheotes of Sandwich, Nicolas Nelson of Acushnet, Alex Nelson of Mattapoisett, Andrew Ciampaglio of Newton, New Jersey, and Matthew Ciampaglio of Stanhope, New Jersey; five great-grandchildren; and other family.

Services were private, with burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
