Kathleen Ann (Gilmore) Powers died September 1 at her home in North Falmouth.

She was the widow of John J. Powers.

She was born in 1927, the daughter of Dr. William and Teckla Gilmore, and was raised in David City, Nebraska.

Ms. Powers was a former resident of Belmont.

She leaves seven children, Helen and George Johnston of York, Pennsylvania, Michael and Lauren Powers of North Falmouth, Bill Powers of Greensboro, North Carolina, Timothy and Kathleen Powers of North Weymouth, Jay and Lauren Powers of Attleboro, Christopher Powers of New Bern, North Carolina, and Kerry and John Hannabury of Reading; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 5, from 8:30 to 10:15 AM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

Following visitation, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road in North Falmouth.

Burial will be at 12:30 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
