Laura Skordares, 92, of North Falmouth died September 30 at the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion.

She was the widow of George J. Skordares.

Born in Mobile, Alabama, she was the daughter of Anthony V. and Panagiota Pechilis. She moved with her family to Brockton in 1932.

Ms. Skordares was a longtime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton and its Philoptochos Society.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Ms. Skordares leaves two daughters, Andria Cicalis of Denver, North Carolina, and Paula Zevitas of Mattapoisett; two grandchildren, John Anthony Zevitas of Severn, Maryland, and Michael Stephen Zevitas of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-grandchildren; and extended family.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 5, from 4 to 7 PM at Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street in Brockton.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 6, at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 11 o’clock service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak Street in Brockton.

Interment will be that afternoon, at 1:30, at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
