Leo O'Keefe

Leo Paul O’Keefe, 89, of West Falmouth died at home Tuesday afternoon, August 13.

He was the husband of Margery E. (Roche) O‘Keefe.

Mr. O’Keefe was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was raised in Chestnut Hill and was a graduate of both Boston College High School and Boston College.

He was a former resident of Milton.

Mr. O’Keefe was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and an usher at his church. He served as a member of the Bluffs Beautification Committee and was a part of the North Falmouth Village Association.

He was knowledgeable about sports and followed the New England athletic teams. He also enjoyed tennis and gardening, and played ping-pong in Florida when he and his wife traveled to Fort Myers for the winter.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Anne Tommasi of Windham, New Hampshire and Eleanor F. O’Keefe of West Falmouth; two sons, Leo O’Keefe of Westwood and Thomas O’Keefe of Portage, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A visiting hour will be Tuesday, August 20, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Highway.

Following visitation, a 10 o’clock Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road in North Falmouth.

Burial will be at 11:30 AM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
