Mary Donnelly of Falmouth died Tuesday, October 6. She was 98.

She was born in Boston to Lawrence and Sarah (McCool) Kirby.

She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Brookline, and cum laude from Regis College in Weston, before embarking on a career at Raytheon Company.

She was the wife of Joseph F. Donnelly, who predeceased her.

She is survived by her children, Michael C. Donnelly and his wife, Carolyn, of Bunn North Carolina; Brian P. Donnelly and his wife, Kathryn, of Boxborough; Maribeth Wadman and her husband, John, of Falmouth; and Laurand M. Bryant and her husband, David, of Framingham; her siblings, Lawrence Kirby and his wife, Mary, of Manchester by the Sea; Edward Kirby and his wife, Mary of Nashua, New Hampshire; and Sister Alice Mary Kirby CSJ of Brighton, as well as nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Joseph F. Donnelly Jr, and a sister, Joan Sullivan.

The funeral and burial services will be private.
