Mary T. Silvia of Falmouth died at home on December 7. She was 60 years old.

She was the wife of Gilbert F. Silvia for 40 years.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of Earnest and Gail (Ledetto) Forni.

Ms. Silvia was a patient care technician and worked at Falmouth Hospital for 32 years.

A family person, she often attended her grandchildren’s sporting events and was known as “Meme.” She was known to be on the sidelines of softball games telling umpires “She left too early!”

She was a member of the Stitch N’ Bitch knitting club, enjoyed camping and having fires, loved making hats for children and adults and playing Bingo. She loved being around her dog and two cats.

In addition to her husband she leaves her daughter, Catherine Silvia of Falmouth; a granddaughter, Haylee Silvia of Falmouth; a grandson, Daniel Ramsey of Falmouth; her mother, Gail Forni of Yarmouth; and her siblings, Ernest Forni Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Anne Grady of Hyannis, John Forni of Bourne, Ellen Taylor of Sandwich, and Paul Forni. She also leaves many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and other family.

She was pre-deceased by her father, Ernest Forni; and her brother Billy Forni.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 19, from 4 to 6 PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 20, at 10 AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.

Burial will be private.
