Maureen Elizabeth Daoust of Falmouth, who had a career as a registered nurse, died November 2. She was 82.

She was the wife of Philip N. Daoust Jr., to whom she was married for 60 years.

Born in Medford, she was the daughter of George F. McLaughlin and Mary G. McLaughlin. She was educated at St. Clemens High School in Medford and graduated from the School of Nursing at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Daoust worked as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, the McGee Unit and Hillcrest Hospital in Pittsfield. She also had traveled as a volunteer on a medical mission to Mexico.

She was a member of the Falmouth Garden Club and Springside Nursery Garden Club, and participated in the Falmouth Book Club.

In addition to her husband, she leaves five children, Kathleen Prince, Michael Daoust, Stephen Daoust, Phillip Daoust and Brian Daoust; six grandchildren; a sister, Janice Babin of Falmouth; and extended family.

A funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, November 14, at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street in Falmouth.

Burial services will be private.

A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
