She was the daughter of George H. and Catherine (Hatzikon) Ferreira.

Accomplished on trumpet, she played the instrument in the FHS band after being asked to join in the 7th grade. She was also a member of the high school stage band, Falmouth Town Band, and the Cape Cod Symphony. In addition, Ms. Ferreira played trumpet at various private events, her favorite being many Fourth of Julys, when she played taps at the West Falmouth Harbor boathouse.

Besides her parents, she leaves her sisters, Catherine Holmes, Diana Pontieri and Karen Hamilton; her nephew and niece, Christopher Hamilton Jr. and Amanda Hamilton; her aunt and uncle, Charles and Betty Hatzikon, and aunts, Olivia Kudrot and Alice Murphy; and other extended family members.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 3, at St. Anthony’s Church in East Falmouth Falmouth.
