Muriel Burke

Muriel L. Burke of Falmouth died April 6 at Falmouth Hospital following a brief illness. She was 80.

She was born to Joseph and Loris Baptist in Taunton, where she was raised and attended high school.

Ms. Burke retired after 25 years working for Dr. Robert Paquette, an oral surgeon in Raynham.

She moved to Falmouth and here enjoyed gardening and spending her days at Menauhant Beach. She often rode her bike with her husband of 60 years, Thomas P. Burke.

Ms. Burke was active as a volunteer with the Democratic reelection committee.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three sisters, Cynthia Wardwell of Veral Beach, Florida, Gail Marsden of Taunton and Karen Williams of Falmouth; and extended family.

A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be at a later date.
