Richard Carreiro Jr.

Richard Carreiro Jr., 68, of Falmouth died unexpectedly on New Year's Day.

He was the husband of Robin (Speroni) Carreiro for 27 years.

The son of Richard and Isabel (Teixeira) Carreiro, he lived on Cape Cod for his entire life.

Mr. Carreiro was known as a hard worker. He worked as a mechanic for many years and had a love of classic cars. He also was a handyman of many trades.

His fondness for music led him to playing in a band with friends.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Bridget Carreiro and Noelle Carreiro of Norfolk, Virginia; four granddaughters; three stepchildren, Tommy Wolfinger of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tabetha Garcia of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and William Speroni of Falmouth; six stepgrandchildren; four siblings, Donna Carreiro of Brattleboro, Vermont, Joanne Riley of Bourne, Linda Fish of Falmouth and Paul Carreiro of Bourne; and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children Michelle Jones, Richard Carreiro III and Patrick Carreiro; and three siblings, Barbara Turner, Daniel Carreiro and Diane Carreiro.

Visitation will be Friday, January 8, from 10 AM to noon at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

A private burial and memorial service will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Falmouth.
