Richard Francis MacDonald Jr., 58, of East Falmouth died unexpectedly at Falmouth Hospital on August 2.

He was the husband of Cynthia (Monaco) MacDonald.

He was the oldest son of Ann (Kilday) MacDonald and the late Richard F. MacDonald of Falmouth.

He had a deep love of the ocean and enjoyed nothing more than sailing with his wife and their dog Max on their boat.

In addition to his wife, he leaves her children, Tonya Monaco of Marstons Mills and Kim Jordon of Whitman; seven siblings, Cathy Roland of Hobe Sound, Florida, Stephen MacDonald, James MacDonald of Chandler, Arizona, John MacDonald of Gilbert, Arizona, Mike MacDonald of Mashpee, Ann Marie Katz of Beverly Hills, California, and Thomas MacDonald of Falmouth Heights.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, August 7, at Parish of Christ the King in Mashpee with burial in Great Neck Woods Cemetery.
