Sharon L. Sylvia of East Falmouth died at home on Wednesday, May 1. She was 77.

Ms. Sylvia was a registered nurse who worked at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. She toured the world, having visited five continents and sailed through the Panama Canal.

She leaves her former husband, Stanley Sylvia, and her four children, Wade Sylvia, Wendy Sylvia, Wanda Sylvia and Wednesday Sylvia all of East Falmouth; and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Connors of Falmouth, and leaves her brother, Wayne Oliver of Newport Richie, Florida.

Private services will be held at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
