Stephen Eugene Panzone of East Falmouth died unexpectedly on September 18 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was 63.

He was the husband of Patricia L. Panzone. The couple were married in 1979 and had two children, Steffen and Jenna.

Mr. Panzone served with the US Coast Guard and then with the US Army, from which he retired as a first sergeant.

He also worked for the US Postal Service and was a postmaster upon his retirement.

An active member of Cape Cod Church in East Falmouth, he also was an avid book collector and enjoyed photography among other pastimes.

In addition to his wife and children and their spouses, he leaves four grandchildren; five sisters; and extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, September 27, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman Funeral & Cremations, 74 Algonquin Avenue in Mashpee.

A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, September 28, at 11 AM at Cape Cod Church, 1205 Nathan Ellis Highway, East Falmouth.

Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
